Serene's Welcome party

The newest member of the 2Create team has just arrived! Well, at least a soon to be team member. When we /I first found out we were going to be the proud parents of a little girl, we were absolutely elated. We wanted to make sure that once she had arrived, we organized a nice, small, and family friendly event to welcome our newest bundle of joy into the world. The event sure was nice and organized, but definitely not small. We were grateful to have numerous friends and family who were just waiting to be a part of her new life!

So the planning began. I knew I had to welcome my little girl to something that would be fit for a princess and am so gracious that we were able to do just that. Pinks, greens, bling, did I mention bling? Our friend at Paperdaydream helped in creating spectacular invitations and brought new meaning to receiving “mail”. The invitations were presented in tiny, bright colored mail boxes with embellished cards fit for the princess herself. We wanted to welcome our daughter with a big bling and that’s exactly what she got. Her excited grandparents were generous enough to host this very special soiree for their newest granddaughter and allowed me to execute every little thing my heart desired. A massive canopy, beautiful floral arrangements, bright colored linens, incredibly thoughtful and special favors, delectable foods, and the list goes on and on. The bling theme was incorporated in almost every aspect of the party from the invitation, to the décor, to the itty bitty details throughout the party. We definitely had tons of options to decorate with and realized that having a theme really kept the party alive from beginning to end. Please join me in welcoming our baby girl into our lives!

Update for our Fans!!!

Dear 2Create fans, we have definitely been keeping busy the past couple of months with several amazing mehndi's, weddings, receptions, and so much more... including the arrival of 2Create's newest family member. Along with her recent arrival, our little bundle of joy has brought so much more inspiration for all the upcoming events we've got in store for our clients and our fans! Color, color and more color!

This wedding took place at the gorgeous St. Regis Hotel in Monarch Beach, Ca. The wedding was filled with a beautiful palette of colors, including vibrant oranges, hot hues of fuchsia, shimmering gold's, and of course the lush green from the lawn the ceremony took place on. It was jaw-droppingly stunning!

Let's not forget about the reception which also had a very unique color palette to it, gorgeous deep reds with splashes of bright turquoise. The 2 colors together created a very romantic setting inside the ballroom. The stage consisted of white flooring, with our "bling panels" and a new addition, the oober cool water walls! 2Create also provided candy buffet arrangement. Enjoy the pictures!

Stunning Swirls

It’s always wonderful when you can truly let your imagination go wild especially if it’s at DISNEYLAND! For this stagescape, I sat in the grand ballroom at the Disneyland hotel and wondered how to make this stage resemble Disney and the fairytales that come with it. The bride’s only request was that she wanted something new and different. As I looked around in the ballroom I put my head down and stared at the carpet and said what about swirls? Huge, life size swirls? I saw the carpeting at the Disneyland hotel and it clicked, it was covered in swirls. Sometimes inspiration is right under your nose, literally, you just have to challenge your self and let your imagination go wild! The stagescape consisted of four eight-foot swirls that were custom built in the 2create studio. It took 750 roses to fill each swirl, bringing the grand total to 3,000 roses just to fill the swirls alone! Different colored roses were used to create shadows on the swirls to mimic a painting. We had two centerpiece options for the 85 tables. The first was an 18’ by 18’ box made in

Indonesia

, with an urn in the middle. The second was an 18’ by 18’ box with a mountain effect of flowers.

Yellow Fever

Each culture has its own traditions for weddings and one the Pakistani traditions is a pre wedding function called a “mayoun” in which the bride-to-be wears yellow, and a gathering of close family and friends occurs, in which there is some singing and dancing for the bride to be.

Amna’s mayoun was so festive and provided for such a fun flirty atmosphere. The couple was seated on a traditional “thakt”; a raised platform with a mattress on top. Around the thakt we created an open one-sided gazebo with pipes. The pipes were covered in yellow fabric and had umbrellas filled with yellow orchids hanging from the top. We also hung yellow floral spheres from the top of the poles as well. The centerpieces were filled with yellow floral arrangements and the little pond in the garden was filled yellow mums and floating candles. Yellow makes people happy, its easy and fun, try it for your next soirée, you won’t be disappointed!

Romance

Is there anything more flattering or romantic, then candlelight? I think not. Romance was the theme for this wedding and this couple had a lot of it! The couple really wanted to resonate that through-out the ballroom so, candle light was the solution! Lighting was kept at its lowest setting and candlelight filled the room. Every guest that walked-in, commented on how romantic and warm the ambiance was... it was perfect.

Decadent Red Velvet...

Natasha and Omar’s wedding was definitely decadent. The wedding was at a charming private estate (Marwah Estate) in Malibu with panoramic views of the ocean. The bride wanted her guests to feel like royalty from the moment they walked in, and they did. From the rich pinched taffeta linens on the tables to the lush red roses all over the garden, and glistening candlelight everywhere, the wedding had a very grand feel to it.

The stage was covered in rich gold satin fabrics adorned with two large manzanita trees creating an arch over the couples seating area. The trees were filled with gorgeous crystals, delicate cymbidium orchids and alluring red rose spheres. There were 2 large pedestals on each side of the stage that were covered in red satin ribbon to mimic French lace. Each pedestal had a stunning round gold frame on it filled with gorgeous red roses. It was absolutely beautiful.

The Modern Bride

It’s raining purple! Aisha and Sarfraz’s wedding is one of my most favorite weddings from Summer ’09. From the start Aisha gave us complete control in the design process of the wedding. She gave us the colors she loved (Eggplant purple with hints of gold and white), and she kept saying she wanted a very modern and trendy wedding. After learning more about the bride, we discovered those were exactly the two words that described her - modern and trendy.

We used a gorgeous white glossy floor on the stage; similar to what you would see on a fashion show runway. It gave the event a very edgy, yet modern feel. We then used two huge white walls as part of the backdrop and in between these huge white walls we custom built a wooden window frame which we filled with lush, vibrant flowers. We also added two gorgeous swarovski crystal tufted plum suede custom built walls that we placed in front of the two huge white walls.

It was breathtaking.
